The Suite Building is the latest addition to the property. Built in the early 90’s, It follows the same wood craftsmanship as the other buildings but with its own style. Two suites are located on the second floor and two on the first floor. All suites have a stunning ocean view.

Our cliffside oceanfront cottages are nestled in the embrace of a grove of Cypress trees, and Greenwood Creek where it wanders out to the beach just below your view of the ocean. Oceanfront Cottages have open cathedral ceilings and large picture windows, electric fireplaces or wood-stoves, include coffee makers, TVs, microwave ovens, and refrigerators. Comfy chairs invite you to large picture windows for a morning reverie or the afternoon browsing of a novel with a cup of tea or glass of wine in front of the fireplace.

The Greenwood Room is part of a two-room building perched on the cliff on the southern side of the property that we call our Cliffside Cottages. They are nestled in the embrace of a grove of Cypress trees, and Greenwood Creek where it wanders out to the beach just below your view of the ocean. A large rustic room, the Greenwood has open cathedral ceilings and a large picture window, original hardwood floors and a gas burning stove for heat.

Craftsman Mansion

Originally built as an executive retreat by the L.E. White Lumber Company in 1883, the main house retains all the charm and elegance of the hospitality of yesteryear. No wonder that the Elk Cove Inn made such a gracious transition to becoming a bed and breakfast getaway, one of the very first established on the northern California coast, in 1968. The six rooms in the oceanfront mansion each have their own style from cozy to baronial, with garden and ocean views. Choose a room that looks out over our herb and flower garden, or with a direct view into a grove of cypress trees, or then again, would you ever tire of watching waves splashing against rocks from a second floor aerie.
